The City of Abbeville Fire Department continues to strive for the most fire safe environment for our children, adults, and senior adults of Abbeville. The department personnel are dedicated to making our city and citizens as fire safe as possible.
- Fiscal Year 2007 Recap
- During FY-2007, we had a decrease in fire calls with a total of 184
- Total property loss decreased to $41,500.00 for FY-2007
- Public Fire Education
- A total of 3,505 individuals were reached in FY-2007
- A greater effort to educate the public as to all aspects of fire safety was made
- Fiscal Year 2007 Objectives
- Develop plans for a new fire department
- High-end training for all deparment members
- Continue upgrade of training records to our computer program, Firehouse
- Actively seek more grants to purchase equipment for the fire department
