Are you looking for a Charming Southern Town, with the Southern Hospitality that will leave a warm memory?

Abbeville's Spring Festival "On the Square" is where you want to be. The Festival is held the first weekend in May on our Historic Town Square. Since its inception in 1982, Abbeville has been able to draw thousands to our charming town. Each year, more vendors are featured. The word has spread that Abbeville is the place to be the first weekend in May.

The Festival features craft vendors, entertainment all day, food vendors, amusement rides for the young and "young at heart", an antique car show, a beautiful flower show and a special featured event each year. This year, The Spring Festival "On the Square" is sponsoring a talent show where locals will be able to compete for cash prizes. Three street dances will also be featured this year. Our renovated Livery Stable will be open featuring special presentations throughout the weekend.

Thursday evening at 6 pm the “Steele Justice Band” will begin the festivities. Friday will feature “The Edgewood Band”, a local favorite. On Saturday night, closing the Festival will be ""The Swingin' Medallions". This group features 70's, 80's & 90's music. They have appeared all over the State of South Carolina and are in great demand throughout the East Coast.

*Amusement Rides will be open on Thursday night, April 30th, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Buy your Advanced Discount Wristband for $10 (regular $15) at City Hall, Civic Center or Fire Dept. by Wednesday, April 29th. Tickets will be available starting April 1st. Wristbands can be used on Thursday night or Saturday morning.
